Green Hay From Sharow to Hell Wath

An activity will take place on 22nd July to cut & collect green hay from Sharow for spreading across a designated area of grassland in the Local Nature Reserve at Hell Wath.

The grass has to be cut, collected and spread within a few hours to preserve the seeds, which we hope will then set on Hell Wath. This should improve biodiversity of the area by adding local native species of grasses and wildflowers to the grassland

Volunteers will be at Sharrow Curch at 1.00pm to cut and collect the grass which will then be loaded on to a trailer to transport it to Hell Wath. Volunteers will be at Hell Wath at 2.30pm to unload the cut grass and spread it across the designated area.

If you are able to help with this activity please contact FOHW at sec.fohw@gmail.com Thank You.
