National Trust Volunteers

National Trust volunteers will be on Hell Wath to help with maintenance of our grasslands and scrub regrowth. This session will concentrate on cutting back hawthorn and blackthorn re-growth on the west side of field 6 (where the Silhoutte Soldiers are), The plan is to keep the meadows clear of hawthorn and blackthorn and to maintain a mosaic of different aged scrub along the meadow margin.

NT Volunteers are usually on-site until 2.30pm. FOHW volunteers are welcome to attend and help out at any point during the day. Please wear suitable clothing for the activity and the weather. Thick gardening gloves are strongly recommended. Please also bring any refreshments you may need. The general risk assessment for this activity can be read here.
