Lots of Butterflies !

236 butterflies were counted in just over an hour during one of our regular butterfly monitoring walks in July – a record !

If you are enjoying a walk on Hell Wath this summer look out for Peacocks, Red Admirals, Painted Ladies, Commas, Meadow Browns, Holly Blues, Large & Small Whites and many more, They love the abundance of thistles and ragwort on Hell Wath and are providing us with a real spectacle this year.
